EMU 309 is a 1965 UH-1H Huey Helicopter impeccably restored to its combat configuration during the Vietnam War. EMU 309 is owned and operated by EMU, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was founded by Vietnam Veterans who served in EMU 309 during the Vietnam War. EMU, Inc.’s (aka Huey Vets) mission is to preserve the history of the iconic Huey Helicopter, to honor the memory of those who served in the Vietnam War, and to serve our nation’s veterans impacted by PTSD and other invisible wounds of war through comradery and contact with our historic Huey Helicopter, EMU 309.
